Portoverde S.p.a. was established on 9 December 1968, with President Potito Randi and Managing Directors Luciano Spadini, Claudio Tentoni and Bruno Randi.
Portoverde is the first marina built by private initiative in the Emilia Romagna region and, more generally, along the central-southern Adriatic coast. The idea was inspired by the need to provide moorings and shelter for large and small boats, which were in short supply in this area of the Riviera.
Today, the Portoverde Marina Resort offers 350 berths for boats featuring a maximum length of 25 metres.
Since 1990, Portoverde has also been awarded the
European Blue Flag for tourist landings.
